East King County residents and business people are invited to join doctors from Swedish Physicians clinics in East King County as they host a series of three informative sessions in October to help you stay healthy. The free sessions include a 60-minute presentation and a 30-minute Q & A session led by a primary-care physician. They include:
• “Diabetes, Your Heart & Your Health” — Learn from Douglas McDonald, M.D., medical director of the Swedish Physicians Redmond Clinic, about risk factors for diabetes and heart disease. Attendees will learn what they can do to prevent disease and live a longer, healthier life. The event is from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Redmond Regional Library, 15990 N.E. 85th St.
• “Stay Healthy at Any Age – A Guide to Preventive Screenings” —
No matter your age, there are important screenings you need at every stage. Learn from Hui-Ying LeSage, M.D., a family physician from the Swedish Physicians Pine Lake Clinic, about preventive screenings that can help with early treatment and improve your quality of life. The event takes place from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 at the Sammamish Library, 825 228th Ave. NE.
• “Be Heart Smart – Keeping Your Heart Healthy” — Find out how to lower your cholesterol, manage your blood pressure and other tips to keep your heart healthy. Learn heart healthy lifestyle tips from Jenny Chen, M.D., a family physician from the Swedish Physicians Issaquah Clinic. The event is from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the Issaquah Library, 10 W. Sunset Way.
