The Old Fire House Teen Center is accepting submissions for the second annual Teen Arts Festival, to be held from 7-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 and 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at 16510 NE 79th St. in downtown Redmond.
The Teen Arts Festival is free and open to the public with all ages welcome.
The event will include paintings, photographs, drawings, sculptures and other creative works from teens. During the evening, in addition to the gallery, piano recitals, spoken word, music, and short plays are scheduled.
Teen artists are asked to undergo a submission and showing process to be a part of the event. Submissions are due by Sept. 15.
“It’s exciting to show my work in the Teen Arts Festival as sometimes, as teens, we have a hard time showcasing our talents outside of school,” said Raine Walker, a sophomore at Redmond High School. “It will be fun for the community to see how teens are expressing themselves!”
