SecondStory Repertory, the professional theatre at Redmond Town Center, opens its 12th season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Dinner with Friends” by Donald Marguiles.

Two couples, longtime friends, are rocked to the core when one pair decides to divorce. Written in a realistic style, the play has moments that cut deeply, mixed with dashes of humor.

Performances run Aug. 27-Sept. at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. on Sept. 5 and Sept. 12.
