Redmond tenor to perform in ‘La Bohéme’ at Moore Theatre, March 27

On March 27, Redmond tenor Kim Cooney will be featured in the Lyric Opera Northwest's single production of Giacomo Puccini's opera, "La Bohéme" at the Moore Theatre at 1932 2nd Avenue in Seattle.

On March 27, Redmond tenor Kim Cooney will be featured in the Lyric Opera Northwest’s single production of Giacomo Puccini’s opera, “La Bohéme” at the Moore Theatre at 1932 2nd Avenue in Seattle.

Cooney will be performing the supporting lead role of Parpignol and joining a cast of performers who are all from the Pacific Northwest.

As a lyric tenor, Cooney has sung at about 650 worship, memorial, concert and theatrical events around the country as well as the world. He has also performed in musical theater in various productions including “Music Man,” “My Fair Lady,” “Cinderella” and “Annie Get Your Gun.” His operetta roles include Pirelli in Kentwood Community Theatre’s “Sweeney Todd” and Old Deuteronomy in Bellevue Youth Theatre Foundation’s “Cats.” Cooney has also performed in a number of opera roles in addition to his upcoming role later this month.

Tickets for “La Bohéme” are $38 general admission, $28 students and seniors with a $2 restoration fee.
