Redmond girl to appear in ACT’s ‘A Christmas Carol’

Redmond’s Jenna Oratz, a sixth grade student at Alcott Elementary School, is a cast member in ACT’s (A Contemporary Theatre) 34th annual production of “A Christmas Carol,” running Nov. 29-Dec. 27 at 700 Union St. in Seattle.

Oratz appears in the roles of Elizabeth Cratchit, Lil’ Fezziweg and Want.

She has previously performed in the children’s chorus of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle and in several productions at Studio East in Kirkland.

Directors Kurt Beattie and R. Hamilton Wright are alternating in the lead role of Ebenezer Scrooge in ACT’s “A Christmas Carol.”

The show is recommended for ages five and up. An audio described performance for the blind and visually challenged community is on Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. An ASL (American Sign Language) performance is on Dec. 11 at 8:30 p.m.
