Redwood Theatre opens its 25th anniversary season with “Night Must Fall,” a psychological thriller by Emlyn Williams, Oct. 10-25.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. in the Fred W. Meitzer Theatre at the Redmond Senior Center, 8703 160th Ave. NE.
The show is directed by Michelle Tuck, who’s spent 18 years with Redwood Theatre and Judy Schwanke, a 22-year Redwood Theatre veteran, “teaching us newer folks the value of true community theatre,” said Roy Arauz, vice-president of Redwood Theatre.

“Night Must Fall” also marks a couple of milestones for the group, Arauz added.
“We begin what we hope is a long and fruitful relationship with Faith Lutheran Church of Redmond,” he said. “We held auditions and rehearsals there and hope to continue to do so for our future productions, fulfilling our goal of being a Redmond-based community organization. We are able to do this, thanks in part to the grant by the City of Redmond Arts Commission.”
Also, the performance of “Night Must Fall” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 will be sign-language interpreted for the hearing-impaired, reaching out to an underserved segment of the community. This effort was made possible, in part, through a grant from 4Culture.
Redwood Theatre’s winter production will be “Crimes of the Heart”, Feb. 6-21. For its spring musical, Redwood Theatre will present the West Coast premiere of “Illyria,” an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.”
