Redmond residents gathered Aug. 9 at Cypress Coffee for King County’s Coffee with a Cop event.

At the event, citizens had the opportunity to talk to King County Sheriff officers and King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert. Community members interacted with officers and Lambert and asked questions about safety and the region.

Residents Ron and Carol Peck said these types of events are a great opportunity to learn more about the people who protect and serve the community.

Coffee with a Cop is a national movement that focuses on building relationships between law enforcement and community members. It brings people together in-person at neutral locations to provide the opportunity for real conversations about issues that matter.
