I was appalled that no one that I could see at the recent Derby Days parade stood when the flag of our United States passed by.

One of the color guards even yelled at the public, which was more interested in their kids hoarding candy, to “stand and respect your colors.”

Still, not one person stood, not to mention remove their hat. What’s become of our younger generations?
