Thank you for the very nice article in the June 7 Redmond Reporter. Being an aging Redmond shopper, having the shuttle service, as explained in the Reporter, would make it possible to continue my shopping in Redmond as I soon will discontinue my driving. Currently, disabled seniors cannot walk the distance from the bus to the facility they need to get to, be it health, shopping or other needs. I definitely support the resolution for a separate shuttle for downtown Redmond.

• I think a shuttle for seniors and all others in Redmond would be better than relying on the municipal bus. Their schedules are subject to being budget-cut, they do not run a pattern route that will aid citizens without cars, stopping points are not what are needed to provide service to our folks both young and old. If you have to do two tasks, the wait time is too great to accomplish both in one day in a reasonable time. I participated in the city bus demo for seniors — I would not call this dependable, reasonable or timely transportation. I strongly support a resolution for a separate shuttle bus for downtown Redmond.
