Dear Mayor John Marchione,
Thank you for your logical decision regarding the red light controversy. Scott Harlan, Tim Eyman and some Redmond citizens just cannot grasp the reality that in driving red means STOP.
A sad waste of time, words, money and lack of common sense regarding safety for our citizens took place. Considering all of the letters, social comments, etc. it seems as if someone is afraid of a traffic citation and foolishly refers to the $124 penalty to be only a money maker for our city. They should just become a better driver and they would not be cited.
Sadly, lack of common sense or the thinking that rules do not apply to some, has become the norm.
Gail Hoover, Redmond
