The Eastside community needs to elect Dr. Charles Pilcher to the Evergreen Hospital board.
Evergreen is one of only two major hospitals on the Eastside that serves an ever-growing population of over more than a half million residents.
Dr. Pilcher has been an emergency physician for nearly 35 years and has a perspective on health care that I find very sound. He is the only physician candidate for a board that currently has no physicians. He has shown amazing leadership and energy.
He was the Medical Director of the Evergreen emergency room for 25 years. He also led a $120 million “Yes for Evergreen” campaign to build the new patient tower.
I have used the ER many times at Evergreen and found that Dr. Pilcher and his staff deliver exemplary service. He has managed multi-million dollar budgets, has an excellent working relationship with other doctors, nurses, firefighters and EMTs. He has organized and led medical trips to Kenya, Morocco, Honduras and Mexico.
Dr. Pilcher is a smart, caring and considerate person, with a lively sense of humor and compassionate nature. The Eastside needs his energy, guidance, wisdom and inspiration.
