This Friday, Yogurtland will open its newest location at 17250 Redmond Way between Safeway and Panera Bread in the Bear Creek Village shopping center.

This will be the fourth Puget Sound-area location for franchise owners Lauren and Gregg Bennett, who also have two stores in Seattle and one in Bellevue.

Lauren and Gregg first discovered Yogurtland while visiting their daughter in college in the San Francisco area last year. After seeing how much their daughter and her friends enjoyed Yogurtland’s self-serve frozen yogurt concept, they began looking into franchise opportunities. Shortly thereafter they signed an agreement to open many stores in the greater Seattle area.

“As people are becoming more health conscious and moving from ice cream to healthier options, the frozen yogurt industry is booming,” Gregg said. “I’m looking forward to providing a healthier dessert option to kids and families in local neighborhoods. Redmond is a great market for us as we will be the first in the market and our product is strongly appealing to the Redmond demographic.”

Yogurtland guests can choose from classic frozen yogurt flavors including cookies and cream,  taro, green tea, maqui berry, yuzu and guava pineapple. There are also sugar-free options available and a choice of more than 35 topping selections such as fresh fruits, nuts, cereals, candy and more.

Yogurtland joins a number of new businesses to open in Bear Creek Village in the last few years including Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW), Ulta, Ross Dress for Less and Sport Clips.
