Chef Hugo Tapia at Hugo’s Restaurant in Redmond is hosting a Kitchen Conversation Series in partnership with Yes on 522 beginning today and every Tuesday through Oct. 29.
Jeremy Zegas, outreach director for Yes on 522, will lead a kitchen conversation starting at 3:30 p.m. to discuss why GMO (genetically modified organisms) labeling is important and what it means to people. An initiative to the Washington state Legislature, 522 will be on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.

Tapia will provide complimentary appetizers and ionized/alkalized water at the events.
