The Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 8th annual a golf tournament, dinner and auction, Aug. 22 at the Plateau Club in Sammamish.
The event gives local golfers an opportunity to network and enjoy golfing at the private Plateau Club. Non-golfers are also invited to enjoy the “Galleria on the Green,” which will include spa services, wine-tasting and vendors from local Redmond businesses.
A charity auction and dinner will follow the golf outing in the clubhouse.
“Every year this event grows with incredible enthusiasm and participation from our loyal business community,” said Danielle Lynch, chamber interim president and CEO. “The money raised goes towards supporting the Redmond Chamber so we can continue to advocate for and promote local businesses. We are getting more golfers registering early and securing sponsorships much earlier this year, which is great news.”
For $185 per golfer and $740 per foursome, participants will receive 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, dinner and entry into a series of contests including the longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contests. The event also includes a $100,000 prize for 10 lucky golfers in a hole-in-one shoot out and a $5,000 prize putting contest.
“The support that local businesses receive from the Redmond Chamber is incredibly important,” said Ryan Baumgartner, the chamber golf committee chairperson and partner of Cashman Consulting & Investments, LLC. “This is one of only two fundraising events put on by the chamber which gives people a fantastic golfing and networking experience. We could not pull this off without the amazing support of our volunteers, players and sponsors.”
The event is underwritten by Nintendo and many other local organizations. Sponsorships are selling quickly but some are still available for businesses which include hole sponsorships and various contests.
