I am writing in response to Sharon Hood’s March 4 letter to editor regarding the justification the Redmond mayor’s 18 percent pay raise for next year.

I think one resident nailed it recently when he noted that the cameras are actually backing up traffic, particularly at Avondale and Union Hill Roads. Every time I’m there, it seems, cameras are flashing constantly, even when drivers are making perfectly legal right turns on red.
