Redmond-based Half Past Lavish Event Production (HPL) has been selected as the producer of the Museum of History and Industry’s (MOHAI) week of grand-opening events. Thousands of people are expected to attend the events, which will include member and V.I.P. preview events and the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the public grand opening on Dec. 29.
Lorraine McConaghy, a public historian with the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle, will be presenting “Territorial Voices: A Civil War Reader’s Theater” at the Redmond Historical Society meeting from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Jan. 12, 2013 at The Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center, 16600 N.E. 80th St.

Redmond Thunder, a girls under-13 District 2 team, finished first in the division and went on to win the D2 Recreational Cup Championship on Nov. 25 and progressed to the state recreational playoffs on Dec. 1.The Thunder notched a 9-1 league record and went 4-0 in the D2 playoffs despite missing some key players.
