The Bear Creek boys’ soccer team kept their dream season alive with a 6-0 thrashing of the Eagles on Monday afternoon.
Mark Phillips and Tom Postings scored twice in the scorefest, with Blake Emery and Will Stansell also netting goals for the Grizzlies.
Phillips also recorded two assists in the win, and Jamie Clough extended his league lead with his eighth shutout of the season.
With the win, the Grizzlies improved to 7-0-0 in Sea-Tac 2B league play and 12-0-0 overall.
MUSTANG VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO FALCONS
The Redmond High volleyball team was defeated by a strong Woodinville team on Monday night 25-13, 25-19, 25-10.
Highlights for Redmond included Heather Smith leading the team with four kills, followed by Ashley Swanson with three. Makayla Moller recorded 11 assists and Justice Magraw had 10 digs.
The Mustangs are now 1-7 (2-9) on the season.
REDMOND TENNIS NIPPED BY EASTLAKE
The Mustangs put up a fight but fell just short in Monday night’s 4A Kingco tennis match against the Wolves at Eastlake High, falling 4-3.
For Redmond, Dhruv Balakrishnan, playing at No. 3, defeated Adam Nakanishi in three sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
In doubles action, Johnson Hsieh and Matt Lee beat Mike Bischak and Andrew Garland 6-3, 6-1, and the No. 3 team of Alex Dietz and Chris Chiu defeated David Parkinson and Adam James 6-0, 6-3.
