This week’s Redmond Saturday Market, May 15, will feature a wood turning demonstration by Market vice president Dick Watson, a vendor known as Wood Lathe Creations. Watson will show how he makes baby rattles while other wood turners will make other products.
Watson’s popular sellers include ice cream scoops, wine stoppers and screw drivers, as well as the baby rattles. He also makes pepper mills and bowls and platters of many sizes.
When the Redmond City Council recently gave a generous donation of $5,000 to the Redmond Saturday Market, Watson showed his appreciation by presenting them with a customized gavel and strike plate bearing the Redmond Saturday Market logo.
