Redmond-based Friends of Youth (FOY) will recognize November as Homeless Youth Awareness Month through the first-ever Share-A-Bowl meal, in partnership with Faith Lutheran Church at 9041 166th Ave. N.E. in Redmond.

The event will be held at the church on Nov. 2 and run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The cost of dinner is free and will consist of a variety of soups and breads, prepared by members of the church.

Share-A-Bowl is an opportunity to learn about youth homelessness on the Eastside, how Friends of Youth is addressing this issue and how to help. One way is by becoming a Dinner Donor at the FOY Landing Shelter in Bellevue. FOY operates the only shelter on the Eastside specifically for youth.

To attend the Share-A-Bowl event, RSVP by Monday to Cheryl Schnelle at Cheryl@friendsofyouth.org or (425) 869-6490, ext. 309.
