Redmond Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a driver of a Nissan sedan who hit a teenage bicyclist Wednesday morning and then left the scene.
At approximately 8:45 a.m., a car traveling westbound on Northeast 20th Street in Redmond made a right turn in front of a 17-year-old Bellevue male riding a bicycle in the same direction.
After the collision, the driver stayed at the scene for a few seconds before driving away northbound on 152nd Avenue Northeast.
The boy was being treated at Overlake Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his arm, according to Redmond police. Two potential witnesses spoke to the boy right after the incident, but did not provide any contact information and left prior to police arriving.
Police are searching for the driver, described as a Middle Eastern female in her late 20s or early 30s. The vehicle is a dark-colored, newer model Nissan sedan.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Redmond Police Traffic Division at (425) 556-2571.
