The event is free and open to the public. It will feature multimedia presentations, focused short talks and opportunities for open dialogue. Attendees will also have an opportunity to observe an Islamic prayer at 12:30 p.m., followed by a question and answer session.

MAPS I&O committee hosts open houses and events on the first Saturday of each month, exploring various topics and inviting people from different backgrounds to learn about Islam.

“One in every five people in the world is a Muslim,” said MAPS I&O media coordinator Ghada Ellithy. “Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, yet many misconceptions are associated with Islam and Muslims in the media.”
