Umbrella heist: Unknown suspect(s) removed two patio umbrellas from a local juice business in the 16000 block of Redmond Way.
Fraud: In a case forwarded by the Lacey Police Department, a victim’s credit card was fraudulently used in several locations in Washington state, including a $36.90 charge at the QFC Panda Express in Redmond. The case number was taken for documentation.
Where did it go?: A Seattle man reported that a package was never delivered to his residence.
Investigation revealed that the item was delivered to a shipper’s warehouse in Redmond and is now suspected stolen.
Strained friendship: Redmond Police responded to an auto theft report in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. A male loaned his pickup truck to a friend and it was stolen while his friend shopped at Home Depot.
Caught: Pro-Act officers and auto theft detectives arrested a subject with outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
He would later be booked into Issaquah Jail. The case is closed.
Monday, July 14
Invitation to steal: A resident of the 5500 block of 163rd Court Northeast reported that someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked outside and stole a computer case from one of the cars.
Tools and travel: A bicycle locked onto a car’s bike rack was removed after an unknown suspect cut the locks, in the 10600 block of 157th Avenue Northeast.
Disturbing discovery: Two dead cats were found in the recycle bin at a home in the 2700 block of 186th Avenue Northeast.
Car theft: A car was stolen from the parking lot of Office Depot, in the 15300 block of North 24th Street.
Finders keepers: Someone took an ATM card that an Education Hill resident had left at a cash machine and withdrew $500 from the victim’s bank account.
Domestic violence: Police responded to the 9400 block of Redmond-Woodinville Road when a woman reported that her husband had grabbed her by the arms, causing bruising. There is probable cause to arrest the husband for assault, fourth degree.
Quirky criminal: An unknown suspect entered an unlocked apartment in the 8500 block of Willows Road and stole two cameras, a camera charger and two vibrators. The suspect did not take an expensive laptop computer, purse, wallet with more than $100 and miscellaneous credit cards, which were in plain view.
Burglary: Redmond Police responded to a burglary that had just occurred in the 18600 block of Northeast 59th Court.
Unknown suspects entered the apartment and stole a car stereo while the resident was in the apartment. A K9 track was attempted, but the suspects were not located.
Sunday, July 13
Family feud: A female juvenile was arrested for domestic violence assault after attacking her sister in the 17100 block of Northeast 92nd Street.
Malicious mischief: In the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street, a passerby noticed an overturned tractor on the high school stadium pole vault base pad, leaking oil and gasoline. There are no witnesses or suspects.
Attempted break-in: A resident from an apartment complex in the 4800 block of 156th Avenue Northeast reported an attempted break-in. The front door lock was scratched below the keyhole and difficult to unlock. No entry was made and there is no suspect information.
Mugged at skate park: Unknown suspects struck a Redmond juvenile, knocked him to the ground and stole his backpack at the skate park in the 8400 block of 161st Avenue Northeast.
The victim was transported to Evergreen Hospital as a precaution.
Storage space raided: An apartment tenant in the 17700 block of Northeast 90th Street discovered that someone had removed all the items from her storage unit. There is no suspect information.
Saturday, July 12
Assaults: Redmond Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 16100 block of Cleveland Street, in which an adult male assaulted his girlfriend. The male was taken into custody and booked into jail.
And in the 18500 block of Northeast 59th Court, a woman called police after being assaulted by her husband.
The husband was arrested for domestic violence assault in the fourth degree.
Funny money: Redmond Police investigated fraud at a business in the 17100 block of Redmond Way.
Two suspects used counterfeit currency to purchase goods from the store. No arrests were made but the counterfeit bills were sent to the Seattle division of the Secret Service.
Harassment: Police responded to a report of harassment in the 8300 block of 167th Avenue Northeast. Upon arrival, it was determined that the criteria for harassment was not met, but police said an assault had been reported there two months ago. The assault is being further investigated.
Drunk and disorderly: During a police investigation of a suspicious call, an intoxicated subject left a bar in the 14800 block of Northeast 24th and interfered.
When the subject failed to follow orders several times, he was arrested.
Friday, July 11
Orange crush: Residents in the 16900 block of Northeast 79th Street and the 7900 block of 170th Avenue Northeast reported that their cars were vandalized with orange spray paint. No entry was attempted or made into the vehicles.
Burglary: Redmond Police responded to a reported burglary at a home in the 9100 block of 162nd Place Northeast. The victim stated that unknown person(s) attempted to break into his residence. No suspects have been identified.
