Rudnicki finishes 16th at First Tee Open

Redmond High's Oliver Rudnicki and playing partner Steve Lowery closed with a 1-under 71 on Sunday to finish at a 12-under 204 total, tying for 16th place among the 78 pairs of Champions Tour and junior players at the Nature Valley First Tee Open last weekend at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Former Masters winner Ben Crenshaw and Casie Cathrea of the First Tee of Greater Sacramento won by four shots with a 23-under total of 193.

In the tournament proper, Lowery finished tied for fifth at 7-under 209 behind champion Jeff Sluman (10-under 206).

The tournament serves as an international showcase for The First Tee, an initiative to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
