The NEA Foundation will present a Redmond educator with the inaugural Green Prize in Public Education at an award ceremony at Redmond High School on Monday, April 19.
Harriet Sanford, President and CEO of the NEA Foundation will be joined by Philippe Cousteau, CEO of EarthEcho International and Correspondent for Planet Green.
This educator was selected for the Green Prize for innovative efforts to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and spirit needed to be successful in the 21st century and to address the gauntlet of environmental challenges facing our planet. The recipient will be awarded $25,000 and the recipients’ work will be shared with educators and students nationwide.
The mission of the NEA Foundation is to invest in public education that will inspire and enable teachers to prepare every American child to learn and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
