Grand theft auto: At 5:15 p.m., Redmond police began investigating the theft of a rental vehicle from the 15200 block of Bel-Red Road.

Theft: Redmond police began investigating a theft at 4:02 p.m. from a commercial area in the 15300 block of Northeast 40th Street in Overlake.

Shoplifting: Redmond police investigated a shoplifting report at 2:30 p.m. from a grocery store in the 17200 block of Redmond Way downtown.

Assault: Redmond police investigated a domestic violence incident at 11:33 a.m. from the 3900 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway in Overlake. No arrests were made.

Identity theft: A resident from the 9000 block of 161st Place Northeast on Education reported someone else had her social security number at 10:42 a.m.
