Redmond Police are looking for two men who robbed a small downtown grocery store at gunpoint last Saturday night.
The two suspects entered Tienda Mi Mazatlan, located in the 16700 block of Redmond Way, at 8:05 p.m. One of them pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the female clerk.
While the other suspect went around the counter with a backpack, the clerk pulled money from the cash register and put it in the man’s backpack. There was no else in the store at the time of the robbery, according to police spokesperson Jim Bove.
The suspects took off on foot and left the store with more than $500 in cash, Bove said. There were no injuries and the incident was not caught on a surveillance camera, Bove said.
“We currently have no leads, but are investigating with a few other agencies who had similar robberies in the area,” Bove said.
