Nearly $50,000 in jewelry stolen during downtown burglary

Redmond police are investigating a downtown jewelry store break-in, during which $46,000 of antique watches and other jewelry were stolen. The front door of Danielson Jewelers at 8693 161st Ave, N.E. Ste No. 2 was smashed open sometime during the early hours of Thursday and the stolen jewelry was taken from a display case inside the store, according to Redmond Police Lt. Charlie Gorman.

The glass front door of Danielson Jewelers at 8693 161st Ave, N.E. Ste No. 2 was smashed open sometime during the early hours of Thursday and the stolen jewelry was taken from a display case inside the store, according to Redmond Police Lt. Charlie Gorman.

Redmond police received the burglary report at 6:02 a.m. and responding officers did not see any suspects in or near the store when they arrived, according to Gorman. Redmond K-9 Vader searched the area, but did not find any suspects, Gorman said.

The front door at the jewelry store has been fixed and the store is open for business.
