Dr. Chip Kimball, superintendent of the Lake Washington School District (LWSD) has been named Superintendent of the Year by the Washington Library Media Association (WLMA).

At a time when many districts have been cutting school library programs, Kimball has testified before the Washington State House of Representatives in support of school library programs and information literacy statewide.

The award will be presented to Kimball at the annual WLMA conference today in SeaTac.
