Wednesday, June 2

Drugs: A driver was stopped near the corner of Northeast 85th Street and Willows Road Northeast for a traffic infraction and then taken into custody for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Missing person located: Redmond Police were called in a response to a juvenile runaway that later returned home in the 16700 block of Northeast 98th Place.

Alleged child abuse: A school in the Avondale area reported a case of child abuse. Child Protective Services have been notified.

Malicious mischief: A pedestrian struck the hood of a victim’s vehicle, causing damage, following a slow speed collision in the 14800 block of Northeast 87th Street. The suspect said he was not injured.

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was stolen from the parking garage of an apartment complex in the 8100 block of 161st Avenue Northeast.

Monday, May 31

Reckless endangerment: Redmond police investigated an incident in the 18500 block of Redmond Way in which a glass bottle was thrown at a moving vehicle.

Beer thief: A 44-year-old woman was arrested for stealing beer from a store in the 17200 block of Redmond Way.

Outstanding warrant: A 33-year-old woman was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Redmond police pulled her over for a traffic violation in the 7800 block of 185th Avenue Northeast and then found out she had a warrant. She was booked into King County Jail.

Sunday, May 30

Harassment: A woman returned to her vehicle in the 7700 block of 178th Place Northeast and found a sexually-abusive note on her window. The evidence was submitted for fingerprints.

Saturday, May 29

Theft: Redmond police arrested a 26-year-old man around 1 a.m. for shoplifting several items from a grocery store in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast.

Assault: A man was assaulted inside of a restaurant in the 17100 block of Redmond Way. The suspect ran off before police arrived.

Friday, May 28

Slashed tires: Someone slashed the tires of a parking vehicle in the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street.

Five-finger discount: Three juveniles attempted to steal merchandise from a department store in the 16500 block of Northeast 74th Street. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents.

Car prowls: At around 9:30 p.m., someone punched the driver’s door lock of a vehicle parked in the 6400 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway to get inside of the vehicle and then stole a pair of prescription sunglasses from the console area. Another car prowl occurred in the same block about an hour earlier when the suspect again punched out the driver’s door lock and stole a purse off the front passenger seat.

Chili beaned: Someone smashed the rear window and the rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 2600 block of 185th Avenue Northeast at around 7 p.m. and then threw an open container of chili inside the vehicle.
