The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the Redmond Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.

Shoplifting: A male was confronted at 9:57 p.m. after walking out of a grocery store in the 17200 block of Redmond Way downtown with a basket of unpaid groceries. He returned the grocery items and then left the scene. The case is under investigation.

Grand theft auto: At 6:37 p.m., a resident reported a work van stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 15700 block of Redmond Way downtown.

Vehicle prowl: At 11:55 a.m., Redmond police responded to the report of items taken from a car while at a business in the 7900 block of 178th Place Northeast downtown.

Malicious mischief: At 9:03 a.m., Redmond police responded to a report of malicious mischief at Avondale Road and Northeast 98th Way on Education Hill. An unknown subject shot a window out of a moving vehicle.
