Two Redmond residents among top finishers in Boston Marathon

With a time of 2:40:55, Gabriel Kliot was the first of four Redmond residents to cross the finish line in the 2012 Boston Marathon Monday morning.

With a time of 2:40:55, Gabriel Kliot was the first of four Redmond residents to cross the finish line in the 2012 Boston Marathon Monday morning.

The 35-year-old placed 75th in the male 18-39 age group, 82nd among male racers and 91st overall.

There were a total of 22,426 runners.

Sheila Croft was another runner from Redmond who was among top finishers. With a time of 2:48:31, the 37-year-old placed 10th in the female 18-39 age group, 13th among female racers and 186th overall.

Croft is a triathlete and competed in the Iron Man last October; she won the women’s Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon last June as well as the women’s Lake Sammamish half marathon last month.

The two remaining Redmond residents who participated in the Boston Marathon were David Cull and Anthony Tang, who completed with times of 3:57:40 and 4:59:36 respectively.
