With the 2014 NFC championship game happening this weekend, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) has placed a wager with Congressman Reid Ribble (WI-08) on the upcoming game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers.
DelBene will be putting up a basket of local Washington state treats that includes: smoked salmon and Chateau Ste. Michelle wine from Woodinville. Also included will be a bag of Skittles.
For his part, Ribble will be wagering some Wisconsin cheese, brats and Leinie’s beer.
“It’s fitting that our opponent for the CLink’s last game of the season is the same as the first game — and there’s no doubt that Sunday’s outcome will be the same as the home opener,” said DelBene. “The truth is the Packers offense is simply no match for the Legion of Boom — regardless of whether or not Aaron Rodgers throws in Richard Sherman’s direction (Pro-tip: don’t). I’m eager to collect our Wisconsin winnings after Sunday’s Seahawks victory. They’ll make for a great snack on our way to the Super Bowl in Glendale.”
“The Seahawks may have the 12th Man, but we have #12! Looking forward to enjoying some smoked salmon and Washington wine after a Packers win this weekend,” said Ribble.
The Seattle Seahawks play against the Green Bay Packers at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday in Seattle at CenturyLink Field.
