The New Poet’s Society, which awards scholarships to high school students in the Lake Washington School District, is hosting a fundraiser from 5-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 at the Juanita Village Starbucks, 9721 NE 119th Way in Kirkland.

A Gold Home Party buyer will be present to purchase old, unworn or broken gold, silver and platinum jewelry, as well as sterling silver flatware, silver coins and dental gold.

A percentage of the appraiser’s earnings will be donated to the New Poet’s Society, to be used toward scholarships. Sellers are not obligated to share their earnings, although donations for scholarships will be gratefully accepted.
