Commercial burglary: At 6:28 a.m. an employee arrived to work at the 18300 block of Redmond Way to find a burglar had broken in over the weekend. The thief smashed one of the windows, reached through the broken glass, and stole a laptop.
Jan. 28
Arrest: At 12:18 p.m. a 29-year old male was found slumped over the wheel of an idling vehicle at the 7700 block of 188th Avenue Northeast. Upon contact, the suspect lunged at responding officers, and appeared to be intoxicated. Police found drug paraphernalia, suspected stolen property, burglary tools, and other illicit items after he was taken into custody.
Jan. 29
Arrest: At 11:52 a.m. on 15900 block of Redmond Way, a cannabis store customer became surly with employees after he tried to return merchandise 15 minutes after purchasing. When employees informed the man that they did not take returns or exchanges on marijuana products, the suspect became angry and tried to steal a bong. Employees reported he then became combative and hit them with an umbrella.
Fraud: At 7:45 p.m. a 56-year-old male with a lengthy history of dining and dashing was arrested for refusing to pay for his steak dinner at a local restaurant on 7900 block of Leary Way.
Arrest: At 11:01 p.m. a 57-year old male was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he drove off the road and hit a powerbox at 178th Avenue Northeast and Union Hill Road. The suspect was trespassed by the police.
Jan. 30
Arrest: At 9:34 p.m. officers arrested a 26-year-old male on 16600 block of Redmond Way for suspicion of shoplifting and possession of heroin.
Feb. 1
DUI: At 12:33 a.m. an officer witnessed a driver swerving and driving in an unsafe manner on the 16900 block of Redmond Way. The officer pulled the car over and noticed several signs of intoxication while speaking with the driver. The 37-year-old male had failed several sobriety tests.
Vehicle prowls: At 8 p.m. two vehicles were broken into on the 7000 block of 148th Avenue Northeast, while the owners were nearby at a local park. Purses that had been left inside were stolen out of both cars.
Feb. 2
Commercial burglary: At 7:28 a.m. an unidentified burglar pried open the door on one of the buildings on a golf course located on 10400 block of Willows Road. A small amount of cash was stolen.
