Arun misses top 20 on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

Redmond's Vikas Arun lit up the TV screen with his dancing skills. The 20-year-old stage dancer, who trained at the Premiere Dance Center in Redmond, made it into the top 36 on "So You Think You Can Dance," but couldn't crack the top 20.

Redmond’s Vikas Arun lit up the TV screen with his dancing skills.

The 20-year-old stage dancer, who trained at the Premiere Dance Center in Redmond, made it into the top 36 on “So You Think You Can Dance,” but couldn’t crack the overall top 20.

Arun’s TV run ended on Monday when the top 20 was revealed on FOX. The top 20 is comprised of 10 stage dancers and 10 street dancers.

A message on Arun’s Facebook page reads, in part: “I am so thankful to have been part of such an incredible week with so many beautiful artists, and I wish all my friends in the top 10 stage dancers the best of luck! This year was one for the books: going on tour, getting a contract with ‘STOMP,’ and appearing on national television. Thanks for all the love and support everyone!”
