Drunk man crashes Buick into 7-Eleven | Police Blotter

Nov. 18

Attempted bike thievery: At 11:13 a.m. in the 16000 block of Cleveland Street, police arrested a 47-year-old man. He was caught attempting to steal a bike from a local apartment complex. Burglary and drug charges are pending.

7-Eleven run: At 1:45 p.m. in the 8300 block of 164th Avenue Northeast, a drunk man crashed his Buick into the side of a 7-Eleven. The man, 68, did not cooperate with officers as they took him into custody and booked him. Due to his intoxication level, he was transported to the hospital.

Burglary: At 11:10 a.m. in the 7700 block of 185th Avenue Northeast, a thief cut through a company’s chain link fence. They took a welding machine from the tool yard. It weighs 300 pounds.

Nov. 19

Car prowl: At 12:28 p.m. in the 9300 block of Avondale Road, a car was broken into and a stereo was stolen. The unknown thief left tools and what seemed to be a lot of white dog fur in the victim’s vehicle.

Nov. 21

Taking tools: At 6:47 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street, 29-year-old male was spotted shoplifting tools from a local home improvement store. The suspect also had a warrant for another shoplifting incident in Redmond earlier this year.

Nov. 22

Fraud: At 12:50 p.m. in the 13300 block of Northeast 75th Street, a couple scammed a woman out of $2,000. They pretended to be from the Social Security Administration and told the woman her information was used to open multiple bank accounts in Texas. They also said a car in her name was full of drugs and found on the Mexican border.

It’s raining mail: At an unknown time, in the 8300 block of 133rd Avenue Northeast and vicinity, someone stole mail from dozens of mailboxes. Someone spotted open mailboxes in the neighborhood and mail scattered in the street.

Nov. 24

After party: At 2:20 a.m. in the 15300 block of Northeast 24th Street, a 65-year-old man had apparently hidden from view in a clothing rack as employees closed up the store. Once the coast was clear, he ate some snacks and slept on a couch. The store alarms were tripped as the suspect roamed around the building in the wee hours of the morning.
