This year’s theme was Game On!
The 79th annual Derby Days took place on July 12-13. On Friday, activities included the Derby Dash 5k, live performances and carnival rides. Saturday morning started with a pancake breakfast, a kid’s parade followed by the grand parade, an ESK8 race, bicycle criterium, a cornhole tournament, Beyblade battles at the Kids Zone, carnival rides, live music and performances, fireworks and much more.
The 10th annual Redmond Arts Festival also took place during the Derby Days weekend. There was a selection of 90 curated designers, artists and crafts people offering unique curated fine art sculptures, jewelry and handmade crafts.
Derby Days is a summer festival that celebrates the uniqueness of Redmond through parades, races, contests, game booths, carnival rides, arts, music, food and more. It started in 1940 as a bicycle derby and parade for the community to raise money for holiday decorations and athletic equipment.
