Joyous Noise Studio has been serving children and families throughout the Eastside for more than a decade.
Through Kindermusik curriculum, children ages 0-10 can receive early music and movement education that helps with brain and body development.
Kindermusik has several Eastside studios including Redmond, Kirkland and Woodinville.
Joyous Noise Studio, originally located in Redmond Town Center, moved to Redmond Ridge last fall. Led by Kindermusik teacher Allison Butler, the school continues to serve local children and their families.
Laura Ender, who now works for Joyous Noise, first came to the school because of her son.
“I started as a mom attending classes with my son, who was diagnosed with Autism when he was 2,” she said. “He fell so deeply in love with Miss Allison and blossomed in amazing ways. We’ve been in her classes ever since.”
Butler has been a preschool teacher for almost 20 years. She said every day is a new experience.
“It’s the only job I’ve ever had where I didn’t need to know what was going to happen the next day,” she said. “Every day is a new experience and I love it.”
Though Butler wasn’t first trained through Kindermusik, she said the curriculum is amazing for her students.
“Music is the only thing that uses every part of the brain,” she said. “Children need to see, feel, hear and move — that’s how they’re designed to learn. We offer something they can’t get anywhere else.”
Butler said Kindermusik provides a strong foundation for early childhood education but she still has the ability to put her own spin on things.
“I really love using music in different ways,” she said. “Sometimes I’ll hear a piece of classical music and think ‘Wow, this would be so great for circle time!’ or ‘This has the right beat for my toddler class.’”
Since the move to Redmond Ridge, Butler said she feels not many parents know that Joyous Noise is there.
“We feel a little disconnected since the move but we know a lot of the families we served in Redmond Town Center live over here,” she said. “We want other families to know we’re here and they should come and play with us.”
