Vehicle prowl: At 1:18 p.m. in the 9000 block of 132nd Avenue Northeast, a woman reported that her suitcase was stolen from her car’s trunk overnight. The thief’s identity is unknown.
April 9
Car theft: At 10:17 a.m. in the 15200 block of Northeast 90th Street, as a delivery driver was making a delivery, a male tried to steal the running car. But before the suspect could flee with the car, the driver confronted him and pulled him out from the vehicle. The suspect could not be located by officers.
Public urination: At 8:20 p.m. in the 8100 block of 161st Avenue Northeast, a 62-year-old male was arrested on the suspicion that he indecently exposed himself and urinated in public at a bus stop.
April 10
Vehicle stolen: At 7:13 a.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 65th Street, a work van was stolen overnight and found three days later in Kent. The van had a damaged ignition and the license plates were missing. No suspect has yet been identified.
Shoplifting: At 6:34 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street, a 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting after a loss prevention officer saw him leave the store with merchandise without paying.
Burglary: At 7:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Old Redmond Road, a thief entered an unoccupied apartment through a window and stole various electronics and other property. No arrests have been made.
Vehicle stolen: At 9 p.m. in the 15300 block of Northeast 62nd Court, a man arrived home to find his garage door was open. His vehicle was gone and his home burglarized. Evidence gathered at the scene is being processed and the suspect has not yet been identified.
April 11
Bong and fast food: At 3 a.m. at 148th Avenue Northeast, a 19-year-old was pulled over after a patrol officer witnessed the male driving erratically, going about twice the speed limit. The officer noticed several things hinting at the male driving while high. The driver had bloodshot eyes, a loaded bong behind the front seat and a bag of Jack in the Box food. As he was placed in custody, a baggie of marijuana was located in the suspect’s pocket.
April 13
ID theft: At 11:26 p.m. in the 16200 block of Northeast 80th Street, a man met someone on a dating app who attempted to extort money out of him. The suspect threatened to send nude photos of the victim to his friends and family if he did not comply with demands for money. No identifying information about the suspect was available.
April 14
Car prowls: Overnight in the area of the 18600 block of Redmond Way, several people in the same neighborhood reported their cars had been broken into overnight. Someone stole clothes, electronics, tools and other personal property from their vehicles.
