More than 8,000 people attended the seventh annual Festival of Color on March 23 at Marymoor Park in Redmond.
Organized by the Vedic Cultural Center (VCC), the event featured DJ Anjali and The Incredible Kid from Portland, Oregon and Bollypop from Los Angeles.
“Festival attendees were constantly dancing and playfully throwing bright color powders at one another,” festival artistic, outreach and development director Latha Sambamurti said in a release.
Periodic color countdowns were announced on the stage by city, county, state officials and other dignitaries from arts and cultural organizations. Food was available to fuel the dancing audience. The Festival of Color was supported by Redmond Arts and Culture Commission and King County.
