Two armed suspects robbed a Jack in the Box the evening of Dec. 9, threatening and terrifying employees, patrons and children.
The suspects entered the location on the 16200 block of Northeast 87th Street at about 9:48 p.m. jumped behind the counter and demanded money from employees at gunpoint. They made off on foot with about $180 from the cash register before police arrived and deployed a K-9 unit.
The suspects were not found and police are still investigating the case. There were three employees and a man with his three children inside the restaurant. Nobody was physically harmed.

“If someone does find themselves in a situation like this, we recommend that they try to stay as calm as possible and give any money or possessions that are requested,” said Andrea Wolf-Buck, spokesperson for the Redmond Police Department. “Goods are replaceable while human life is not.”
One suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white shoes, while the other wore a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes. Both had dark masks concealing their faces. Both suspects are described as white males, about 6-feet-tall and thin.

Detectives were still interviewing witnesses as of the Reporter’s Wednesday deadline.
“Victims should not try to fight or confront the robbers,” Wolf-Buck added. “It is hard during such a terrifying experience, but try to remember as many identifying details as you possibly can to tell police.”

“Call police immediately after [the suspects] leave, don’t chase or follow the robbers,” Wolf-Buck said. “Try not to disturb any potential evidence and relay to police as much detail as you possibly can. Ideally, all victims should remain on scene to speak with police about what they witnessed.“
