Redmond High School (RHS) track and field will hold the 1st Annual Redmond Relays from 10 a.m. to noon March 17 on the school’s track at 17272 N.E. 104th St.
The fundraising and exhibition event will feature RHS athletes, with races and field events for the entire community. Cheer on the Redmond athletes as they get their preseason times and marks, then run, jump and throw in a variety of events, including the Competitive Mile Race and the Kids’ Obstacle Course.
Admission is $5 a person or $10 per family, and kids under 13 are free. Mile racers pay $10 to enter and race. There will be a silent auction, and spirit gear and concessions will be available for sale. Proceeds from this fundraising event will support out-of-town travel expenses, team T-shirts and equipment needs for 175 co-ed track and field athletes.
The event is supported by Redmond Super Jock ‘n Jill, Redmond Trader Joe’s and Plateau Runners.
