On Feb. 28, Sammamish resident Abhishek Choudhury and his family reunited with the dispatchers, firefighters and paramedics who brought him back to life three months ago. They gathered at Eastside Fire & Rescue in Sammamish.
Choudhury was at home in late November of 2017 when he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and his heart stopped beating. First responders from Eastside Fire & Rescue and the Redmond Fire Department arrived while the 911 NORCOM dispatcher told his wife how to perform CPR. Firefighters and paramedics worked together, continuing CPR and administering shocks from their defibrillator. After nearly 45 minutes, they were able to get a pulse and rushed Choudhury to the hospital.
