Burglary: Redmond police took a non-residential burglary report at 7:46 a.m. in the 16800 block of Northeast 80th Street. School district staff called police after finding items missing from a portable classroom. Miscellaneous items, including first-aid supplies, were taken. Fingerprint evidence is being analyzed to identify a suspect.

Sunday, Dec. 3

Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 10:46 a.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. Officers investigated a shoplifting incident at a local business. The suspect had taken a hat, sunglasses and liquor without paying for the items. When contacted by officers, the suspect fled on foot. Officers caught up to the suspect moments later. The suspect punched two officers and physically resisted the attempts by officers to place him into handcuffs. Once under control, the suspect was arrested for felony assault, resisting arrest and theft. All of the involved injuries were minor. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail.

Saturday, Dec. 2

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 5:27 p.m. in the 2100 block of 148th Avenue Northeast. Loss-prevention officers at a local retail store observed an adult female conceal items inside her purse and then leave the store without paying for them. When contacted by store staff, the suspect walked off but discarded her purse with the merchandise. The purse also contained several items that identified the suspect. Theft charges have been filed with the court.

Friday, Dec. 1

Mail theft: Redmond police took a mail-theft report at 10:08 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast 92nd Street and 169th Court Northeast. A citizen called police after finding several items, including mail, on the sidewalk. Most of the mail was from the surrounding Education Hill neighborhood and was returned. No suspect information exists as to the possible theft.

Thursday, Nov. 30

Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 8:06 p.m. in the 15700 block of Redmond Way. Officers were called after a patron at a local pub was causing a disturbance and was asked to leave. The subject left prior to police arriving, but was found a short time later and was issued a trespass warning from the business.

Wednesday, Nov. 29

Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 2:18 a.m. in the 8700 block of 164th Avenue Northeast. Officers responded after a female reported being assaulted by a known male friend who had driven her to Redmond from Seattle. Officers contacted the victim, who had been punched, and she could only provide the initials of the suspect and did not know any other information about him. The incident was documented for further investigation. The victim declined medical treatment for her injuries.

Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 12:17 a.m. at the intersection of Avondale Way and 170th Place Northeast. An officer investigated an assault incident that had taken place hours earlier. An adult female had been sitting at a bus stop when a male suspect sat down next to her and touched her leg without consent. The victim stood up and punched the suspect in the face. She then ran across the street and away from the suspect. The case is under investigation.

Tuesday, Nov. 28

Car prowl: Redmond police took a car-prowl report at 8:47 a.m. in the 17000 block of Northeast 105th Street. A citizen called police after discovering his vehicle had been broken into overnight. No suspect information exists.
