Car prowl: Redmond police took a car-prowl report at 7:42 a.m. in the 8300 block of 160th Avenue Northeast. An officer investigated the prowl from an apartment complex garage. The victim found that the window to his vehicle had been smashed out and his work computer was taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

Monday, May 22

Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 4:14 p.m. in the 16300 block of Northeast 85th Street. Officers responded after receiving multiple calls of a man in a wheelchair being assaulted on the sidewalk. Citizens who witnessed the incident assisted and separated the suspect from the victim. The victim was treated for minor facial injuries sustained during the incident. The adult female suspect was quickly located nearby and arrested for assault. The incident appears to be random with no relation between the parties, however officers noted potential mental health issues while dealing with the suspect.

Sunday, May 21

Bike theft: Redmond police took a bike-theft report at 12:19 p.m. in the 8200 block of 164th Avenue Northeast. A citizen called police after discovering that his bicycle was missing from an apartment complex storage locker. The bike was last placed into the locker in February. Video footage is being reviewed for possible suspect information.

Saturday, May 20

Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 4:52 p.m. in the 8300 block of 160th Avenue Northeast. A resident discovered her vehicle had been broken into and items had been stolen while it was parked in an apartment complex garage. Fingerprint evidence was collected and is being analyzed.

Friday, May 19

Burglary: Redmond police took a residential-burglary report at 11:04 a.m. in the 16500 block of Northeast 83rd Street. Officers investigated the burglary of an apartment complex storage room. Various tools were taken by the suspect. Surveillance video captured the crime, and a wallet found near the scene contained photo identification that matches the suspect seen on the video. Efforts are underway to contact the suspect.

Wednesday, May 17

Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 8:51 a.m. in the 9300 block of Avondale Road. A resident noticed unauthorized charges on her credit card. The victim suspected a known mechanic as possibly using the card after work was done on her car. The suspect and victim have agreed on a civil arrangement for the money to be repaid. No additional police action was taken.
