Redmond softball downed Juanita, 13-4, in the teams’ opening game of the 3A KingCo playoffs on Wednesday.

Redmond will next play Lake Washington for the title at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Inglemoor High.

Against Juanita, Redmond’s Lauren Lund homered, Mara Kipnis had two hits and three RBIs, Haley Hanson had one hit and two RBIs, Lindsay Tsujikawa had one hit and two RBIs, Audrey Walker had one hit and two RBIs and Camille Eaton had one hit and one RBI.

Kiki Milloy gave up just one hit and earned the victory. Juanita’s Lexi Blackburn had the one hit: a home run.

Juanita will next play Bellevue at 5:30 p.m. Friday in a loser-out game.

The top three teams advance to districts.
