Former Redmond mayoral candidate Steve Fields will run for one of two City Council positions that will be open next year.

Council members Kim Allen’s, Byron Shutz’s and John Stilin’s terms end Dec. 31, 2017.

Fields has not said which position he is vying for yet.

The owner of down pour coffee bar in Redmond ran against Mayor John Marchione in 2015, losing by 4,567 votes to 5,384 — a margin of about eight percent.
