Bike theft: Redmond police took a bike-theft report at 4:34 p.m. in the 7700 block of 178th Place Northeast. Officers investigated the theft of a Trek 3700 bicycle when someone broke off the lock.
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 11:10 a.m. in the 2900 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. Officers investigated a car prowl when someone smashed the window of a Lincoln Navigator.
Monday, Aug. 15
Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 8:05 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 78th Place. Officers responded to a report of issues with contractors and assisted the site employer. Trespass letters were issued.
Burglary: Redmond police took a burglary report at 6:39 a.m. in the 15200 block of Northeast 24th Street. Officers investigated a burglary of a commercial business when someone broke into the side door.
Sunday, Aug. 14
Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 5:57 p.m. in the 7400 block of 166th Avenue Northeast. Officers arrested a 16-year-old juvenile shoplift suspect stealing clothing and jewelry. She was released to her mother.
Prowler: Redmond police took a prowler report at 9:57 a.m. in the 2500 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. Officers responded when someone prowled a Lexus 470 behind a business. The driver’s side window was smashed and a GPS unit and two pairs of RayBan sunglasses were taken.
Saturday, Aug. 13
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft of a motor vehicle at 11:33 a.m. in the 6000 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. Officers responded to an auto theft report of a Blue 2015 Nissan GTR vehicle from the driveway of a residence. Police are investigating.
Friday, Aug. 12
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 3:39 p.m. in the 8100 block of 171st Avenue Northeast. Officers investigated the report of stolen iPad when visitors in their home were there to pick up furniture, but may have taken an iPad, as well, that was not to be donated.
Malicious mischief: Redmond police took a malicious-mischief report at 1:06 a.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. Officers arrested a male who refused to leave a store when closing and banged a trash can on the door, damaging it. He appeared intoxicated, confused and required special assistance.
Thursday, Aug. 11
ID theft: Redmond police took an ID-theft report at 6:16 p.m. in the 17600 block of Northeast 76th Street. Officers responded when a Fred Meyer employee reported that a female used a fraudulent ID when attempting to purchase a $300 gift card.
Assault: Redmond police responded to an assault report at 2:22 p.m. at Hartman Park when a 16-year-old was allegedly assaulted and threatened by other teenagers, likely related to previous interactions. Officers are familiar with the suspect(s) from a recent burglary arrest.
Wednesday, Aug. 10
Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 8:43 a.m. when a woman visited the department to report that she received a Credit Union of Texas check from a potential psychotherapy client not in the area for double the fee. She was instructed to deposit the check and then return the excess funds to him. The bank reported that the check is not real and they have had similar scams reported from service providers.
Peeping Tom: Redmond police took a peeping-Tom report at 1:14 a.m. in the 15100 block of Northeast 82nd Street. Officers responded to a report of a voyeur at a condominium unit and arrested a man. A female inside the unit called 911 when she spotted the man outside her window.
