Motorists should expect significant traffic delays throughout the morning of Saturday, May 1 on West Lake Sammamish Parkway, just south of SR 520 in Redmond while crews work to repair traffic signals. Traffic signals are not functioning due to signal control box damage from a vehicle crash.
The signal repair will most likely slow traffic on West Lake Sammamish Parkway from Northeast Marymoor Way to Northeast Leary Way and on the exit ramp from east-bound SR 520 to West Lake Sammamish Parkway until approximately 12 p.m. (noon) on May 1. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and reminded to treat flashing red or non-functioning traffic signals as a stop sign in all directions.
On May 1 at 2:50 a.m. police located damage to the traffic signal control box and a street light pole from an apparent vehicle crash on the off-ramp from east-bound SR 520 to West Lake Sammamish Pkwy. in Redmond. No involved vehicles were located at the scene and no injuries were reported. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the collision.
