Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 6:28 a.m. in the 4300 block of 156th Avenue Northeast. An unauthorized credit card purchase was made on Hotwire.com with a victim’s card.
Warrant arrest: Redmond police arrested a man on a felony warrant for ID theft and narcotics at 6:35 a.m. in the 9100 block of 171st Avenue Northeast. A resident called 911 to report a suspicious silver four-door Jetta vehicle on their street. Officers arrived and made contact with a man in the vehicle who was impaired and also had the felony warrant. The vehicle had several items, including what appeared to be burglary tools and a semi-automatic pistol. The vehicle was impounded for a more thorough search.
Monday, Aug. 1
Penalty flag for roughing: Redmond police took an assault report at 5:42 p.m. in the 14900 block of Northeast 95th Street. Two employees got into an argument, then a physical altercation over the theft of a Seahawks jersey.
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft of a motor vehicle at 2:01 p.m. in the 7400 block of 159th Place Northeast. Officers responded to a report of an auto theft in progress. A male requested a test drive of a vehicle from a local car dealership. After returning to the lot, the employee exited the vehicle and the man took off in the car, a green Mitsubishi Galant. On Aug. 2, the car was located in Bellevue and three people inside fled. One suspect was detained and he was already wanted by Bellevue police for robbery. Investigation is ongoing.

Drugs offense: Redmond police took a drugs-offense report at 7:37 p.m. in the 16100 block of Northeast 87th Street. Three males were smoking drugs in a parked vehicle.
Malicious mischief: Redmond police took a malicious-mischief report at 10:37 a.m. in the 9300 block of Avondale Road. A resident reported that someone wrote on his vehicle window in permanent marker regarding his choice of a parking location.
Saturday, July 30
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 1:42 p.m. in the 17100 block of Redmond Way. Officers investigated the theft of a wallet when a woman inside Starbucks had her wallet stolen from her purse, which was hanging on the chair. Within the next 35 minutes, suspect(s) used her cards at the Redmond Target, with many of the transactions being declined. Investigation is ongoing.
Possible theft: Redmond police took a report of a possible theft from a building at 12:06 p.m. in the 8300 block of 166th Avenue Northeast. A resident reported his backpack and laptop could not be found in his condominium.

Graffiti: Redmond police took a graffiti report at 9:13 a.m. in the 17000 block of Northeast 104th Street. Graffiti was found on a playground wall at Horace Mann Elementary.
Thursday, July 28
Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 9:28 p.m. in the 16700 block of Redmond Way. Officers identified two men and one was transported for an existing warrant.
Warrant: Redmond police took a report of a theft of vehicle parts at 5 p.m. in the 15400 block of Bel-Red Road. While on patrol, an officer noticed a bag of tools discarded near a pawn shop. After talking to employees in the area, they provided descriptions of men who just tried to pawn items but would not give ID. After learning that another law enforcement agency had interest in the property, officers found the two men nearby and one was detained for a warrant out of Bellevue. The man initially refused to identify himself and had drug paraphernalia on his person.
Wednesday, July 27
Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 6:51 p.m. in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast. A resident reported a fraud in which he listed a room for rent and was provided a rent check for $4,999 to pay for the $550 payment due. The potential renter advised him to deposit the check, then transfer overage funds into another account provided by the suspect. After doing so, the victim was advised the check deposited was not valid.
Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 10:10 a.m. in the 7200 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway. A woman reported that an unknown man punched her on the top of the head on a King County Metro bus near the 7-Eleven on West Lake Sammamish Parkway and yelled at her, “get out of my way.”
